in outline they are as follows:

(1) Between Lintin and Wangmoon - open waters,

the aeshin - relief ship kuanghai,

armed

transport, and twe oceangoing destroyers.

(2) A military post of 120 men to be stationed

on shore in proximity to what the intelligence

Department have discovered to be pirate lairs

and to cooperate with the navy.

(3) Between Fangmoon and Kongmoon a large de-

stroyer and subsidiary craft for patrol duty.

(4) Various subsidiary craft for the delta and

East and North rivers.

The total number of vessels to be employed an

the inland waters in 732, many of which, however

will first have to be overhauled and repaired.

So soon as I obtain the promised list of

dispositions I will communicate it to British

steamers plying on the various routes and ank

them to sipply with information
